Welcome to the our farm! The standards that we ask you to follow are for your safety, the welfare of the horses and the sustainment of the culture we've worked very hard to create. Take your time to familiarize yourself with these expectations and please don't hesitate to contact the staff with any questions.

EVERY PARTICIPANT OR VISITOR TO THE FARM IS REQUIRED TO SIGN A LIABILITY WAIVER IN ADVANCE. Waivers are available during the first event registration and at the farm.

1. KINDNESS & ACCEPTANCE: These are the core, and mandatory expectations of every participant and visitor at our farm. We expect that you will be kind to yourself, our staff, the animals, and one another. We also expect that you will be accepting of ALL the people here. Regardless of our differences, we are a family.

2. Please take notice of the opening hours of the farm. During the open hours, you are welcome to visit if a staff member is on-site and you've made prior arrangements. We do not have staff on-site during all open hours therefore, we ask that you reach out to us before coming. This is to ensure the integrity of the farm and ensure everyone's safety.

3. Calm and composed behavior is essential around horses. Horses are flight animals that can spook when exposed to sudden movements and loud noises.

3. It is not allowed to enter any enclosure or stall without prior permission from a staff member. Entering paddocks and pastures is also prohibited without permission. Dogs should be on a leash while visiting the farm and are never allowed in the barn, enclosures or areas where horses are present. This is important for your dogs safety as well as the safety of the horses and handlers.

4. Feeding is planned carefully for each horse individually. Feeding extra could risk the health of a horse or change a horse's behavior. Please do not feed horses without permission. Treats are available but we do not allow hand-feeding as it often leads to biting and other dangerous behaviors.

5. Every participant is expected to care for their assigned horse while at the farm. That may include grooming, tacking and untacking. Tack and equipment should be returned to where you found it, in the many instructed by staff. Storing tack in the proper place helps ensure that it is not used on the wrong horse and others can easily find it. Expensive equipment lying on the floor can get broken or cause danger if tangled at the feet of horses or humans. Ask the staff for additional information if needed. A horse should never be left unattended with a bridle or fastened to any headgear with a mouthpiece (bit). If you need to tie a horse, please use a halter and lead rope and only tie the horse to a structure intended for that purpose.

6. The staff know the horses, so while handling, grooming, tacking, and riding follow the instructions of staff. They are here to assist you, ensure your enjoyment and help keep you and the horses safe. If any horse should need special treatments, please notify a staff member.

7. Helmets are required by all participants under the age of eighteen (18) and recommended for all riders. Riding footwear should consist of closed-toe, smooth-soled boots with a heel. Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis and during the colder winter months.

8. While handling the horses, be aware of the surroundings and try to anticipate and avoid situations that may cause danger to yourself, the horse or others. Ask questions without hesitation or prejudice, attend courses, trainings and events organized by the farm in order to learn more about horses and the handling of horses.

9. Payment is expected in advance or when services are rendered.
