We are excited you are interested in our program. Whether you are an avid equestrian or just starting out we are excited about your goals and dreams.
We offer a friendly casual atmosphere where we empathize safety, fun and good horsemanship. Our horses aren't just coworker's but our family and we take their care and treatment very seriously.
In 2025 our main focus will be our on the farm camps. We will have both full time and morning only attendance options available. You can also purchase camps on a "Season Pass" and pay on a payment schedule.
A new lesson model that is more tuition and achievement based will be implemented this year. It is a great way for students to see their progress and set both short and long term goals.
Welcome to Kings Choice Riding Stable! The stable rules are compiled for the safety of customers, staff and horses. Take your time to familiarize yourself with them all and don´t hesitate to contact the staff if any questions should arise.
1. An ASTM/SEI approved helmet, manufactured within the last 5 years, must be worn at all time around the horses. This is mandatory for anyone under 18 or jumping their horse. It is strongly recommended for anyone over 18. Head injuries are serious. If you sustain a fall helmets must be replaced and the instructor has the right to ask for medical approval before you return to riding.
2. All riders must wear correct footwear with a slight heel while mounted. Sturdy closed toe footwear must be worn around the horses at all times. No crocs or sandals at any time.
3. Calm and composed behaviour is essential around horses. Horses are flight animals that can spook sudden movements and loud noises. Anyone who has been reminded of this rule and is unable to comply by it can be asked to leave at any time.
4. Entering the paddocks and pastures is prohibited without permission. Dogs not owned by the stable are not welcome at any time unless they remain in your vehicle. This is important for everyone's safety, especially the dog.
5. Feeding is planned carefully for each horse individually. Feeding extra could risk horses health or change horses behaviour, that is why nothing should be fed to horses without staffs permission. Many stables welcome carrots and treats, ask the staff for details.
6. Every horse has it´s own, fitted tack. Store the tack in right places so they are not used on a wrong horse. If there is a certain place for the tack, for example a rack or a holder, place the bridle and saddle on them while tacking the horse. Expensive equipment lying on the floor can get broken or cause danger if tangled at the feet of horses or human. Any tack damaged through negligence will be charged to customers accounts.
7. The family and staff know the horses, rules and proper etiquette. It is necessary to follow their direction for everyone's safety and the health of the horses. Remember you are paying for their expertise and how things were done at another business is not necessarily how we conduct ourselves here. Everyone is to be treated with respect. If you have a concern about any instruction or direction you have received, please bring it to management immediately.
