Jolong Park

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For our Riding Lesson Students:
On arrival go to Gate 2, 128 River End Road, Bangholme 3175. The code to the gate is 2010.

As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Jolong Park will be operating under strict health and safety protocols and as such you will be required to sign a Waiver upon arrival for your lesson - stating that to the very best of your knowledge you are in good health, have no symptoms of the Corona Virus and have not been in contact with anyone who has the Virus. You will be asked to wash your hands with hand sanitiser when you arrive at the School and practice Social Distancing at all times. The health and safety of our Staff and Clients are our top priority at all times.

In booking and paying for your lesson at Jolong Park via Hopoti, you are agreeing to be in good health, free of any Cold or Flu-like symptoms and nil exposure to a Positive Covid-19 case to the best of your knowledge.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS FOR RIDING:

1. You must bring your own current, safety approved, Equine Riding Helmet (must be purchased from an Equine Retail outlet or we have a small range of helmets available for sale in the Jolong Park Office). The Helmet cannot be a bicycle, motorbike, skateboard, snow skiing or any other type of helmet....#incorrecthelmetnoride

2. You must have your own pair of gloves (we have a supply of gloves in our office for sale).

3. You must have the appropriate footwear - Approved Horseback Riding Boots (No Runners). We highly recommend purchasing from all Horseland Stores.


4 . Dress Attire
Long pants like jeans, breeches, or jodhpurs.
no scarves, no singlet tops, no shorts.

5. At Jolong Park the health of our horses is paramount. Please note that our maximum weight for riders is a fit 85Kg. If you have any doubt, please call us.

On Arrival
Due to Covid-19, we have implemented a new 'checking in' procedures when you arrive at Jolong Park for your lesson. You will need to allow an additional 15 minutes prior to your lesson start time to go to the office first to "Check-In". This will involve a personal 'Gear Check' ( face mask, helmet, gloves and boots) and a Temperature Check.

The toilet is a portable next to the arena, it will be open for your use which on the premises.

Under the current COVID-19 restrictions, only one support person is permitted to accompany the riding student and it is recommended that you leave the property as soon as your lesson is complete to minimise the possibility of being exposed to any germs.

Parking is strictly in the carpark as you enter Jolong Park and is directly on the left-hand side of the roadway as you enter. You then are able to walk to the indoor school which is to the right with the big green roof.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, INDEMNITY & WAIVER

1. Jolong Park Pty Ltd ("Jolong Park") provides horse and pony rides, riding lessons, equine education and related school holiday programs ("Activities") from its' location at 128 Riverend Road, Bangholme, Victoria.

I, and any person in my care under my control including minors under the age of 18 understand and acknowledge that horse riding is a dangerous activity and that horses can act in a sudden and unpredictable (changeable) way, especially if frightened or hurt.

I understand and acknowledge that serious injury or death may result from horse riding activities. I agree that I ride/participate at my own risk.

I agree and understand the dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol or any mind-altering drugs before participating in any horse-related activity and I take full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage associated with the consumption of these substances. I agree not to drink alcohol or take drugs prohibited by law whilst riding.

I hereby agree that any photos taken at Jolong Park can be used for Jolong Park advertising purposes and any Jolong Park Social Media platforms.

Conduct
I agree to wear a fully approved Australian Safety Standard Helmet (SEI Certified) at all times whilst riding a horse at Jolong Park and agree that I am solely responsible for ensuring that I wear such a suitable helmet at all times whilst riding and take sole responsibility for my actions.

I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby release and hold harmless and agree not to sue Jolong Park, its employees or other participants (all of whom are referred to as Releasees’) with respect to any and all injury, disability, death or loss or damage to person or property, whether caused by the negligence of the releasee or otherwise.

*********Effect of this Document**********
I understand that my signature to this document constitutes a complete and unconditional release of all liability of the proprietors of the Releasees, to the greatest extent allowed by law in the event of me and /or the children under my care, suffering injury or death.

*********Conditions of riding in the indoor*********
Pass riders approaching in opposite direction left hand to left hand
Riders in walk give right of way
Diagonal changes/lateral work have right of way
Horses behaving in a dangerous manner will be removed from the arena
When entering the arena make others aware by calling "Door Free"
If you are paying to use Jolong Park facilities, all manure is to be picked up after your ride. Shovels and Bins are provided in many locations around the property for your use.
