Welcome to the Thomas School of Horsemanship!

The following policies are compiled for the safety of our riders, staff and horses. Please take your time to familiarize yourself with the rules and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

1. No running or screaming. Calm and composed behavior is essential around horses. Horses are flight animals that can spook sudden movements and loud noises.
2. All children must be supervised at all times.
3. No dogs are allowed on the property.
4. All students must wear an ASTM/SEI helmet with chin strap fastened.
5. No riding outside the ring.
6. Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times.
7. No smoking.
8. Every horse has it's own fitted tack. Personal saddles are only allowed with permission from a trainer. Store the tack in the correct designated spots inside the tack room. No tack should be left on the floor.
9. Students are not permitted to enter paddocks and retrieve horses.
10. Clean up after horses in aisles, wash stalls and driveways.
11. Jumping is only permitted during a lesson.
12. Horses must be properly groomed prior to and after lessons, removing all sweat stains, hosing and grazing if necessary.
13. Please do not leave horses tacked in their stall unless instructed to - girth must be loosened and reins tucked if horse is to remain tacked for next lesson.
