Beechgrove Equestrian Centre is a family owned and run business set in the Northern Ireland countryside between Ballyclare, Larne and Carrickfergus.

We opened as a purpose build livery yard in 2020 and have since expanded to include a riding school.

Children can start lessons from age 4 at Beechgrove. As well as being a fantastic opportunity to make new friends with a shared passion for horses, horse riding for young children helps increase confidence, create discipline and increase focus while also building fitness.

We offer private and group lessons and run seasonal children’s camps. Please contact us for more information and availability for pony parties. Group lessons are generally 4-6 riders. We try to keep groups generally of similar age and riding ability to increase learning and enjoyment.

We start all first time riders (other than complete beginners ie lead rein) with a private 30 minute assessment lesson. This allows us to evaluate your current skill level and match you with an appropriate horse or pony.

We have a heated viewing area overlooking the indoor arena where parents can relax and watch lessons in comfort.

Lessons can be booked through Hopoti. If you haven’t used the system before please watch the video under ‘booking guide’ which explains how to register and book lessons. If you cannot find a suitable lesson or wish to check availability of private lessons or book in for an initial assessment lesson please call us on 07739 528002.
